The BreatheSmart 35i Particle Sensor Colors & Meaning:
- Blue - Very low level of airborne particles detected
- Green - Low level of airborne particles detected
- Orange - Medium level of airborne particles detected
- Red - Significant level of airborne particles detected
- Purple - Very significant level of airborne particles detected
If the particle sensor is not changing colors or stuck on one color, ask the customer the following:
- Do you vacuum the prefilter?
- Has anything changed in the room recently?
- Where is the purifier located?
-Is it in or near a kitchen?
-Were you recently cooking? - Do you have any windows or doors open?
- Did you recently paint the room the purifier is in or have new carpet installed in the room the purifier is in?
- Do you have a candle burning? Do you use an oil diffusor or any plug-in air fresheners?
- Do you have a Humidifier running in the same room as the Purifier?
- Heat and AC running can affect the air quality
- Does the customer have pets?
If there aren't any answers to the above questions that would affect the particle sensor, and the particle sensor is stuck on red or purple, we recommend placing the purifier in a small room or closet that doesn't get a lot of traffic for 48 hours. If the particle sensor doesn't change. Have the customer reach back out.
If the sensor is stuck on blue, have the customer either light a match and blow it out, or use an aerosol air freshener and spray it in the air. If the sensor doesn't change, have the customer reach back out.
