The Particle Sensor continuously samples the air in the room and detects the PM2.5 concentration.
What is PM2.5?:
PM2.5 concentration is a measurement standard for particles in the air. PM stands for particulate matter: the mixture of solid particles and liquid droplets found in the air. PM2.5 describes fine inhalable particles, with diameters that are generally 2.5 microns and smaller. The lower the number of these fine particles the better. Sources include burning candles, and incense, fireplaces, wood stoves, gas stoves, cooking, and tobacco smoke.
The color ring in the center of your devices control panel changes color based on the level of PM2.5 detected in your air.
Note: The BreatheSmart FLEX and T500 do not have particulate sensors, therefore the BreatheSmart FLEX LED light will remain blue when powered on.
Please review the information below regarding the different AQI readings.
